This workshop is especially meaningful for young children.
Tie - dye Workshop
An interactive workshop introducing dyeing techniques used to create patterned cloth made by artisans and crafters across the globe.
You will be provided with a variety of high-quality dyes and supplies to create your own designs.
Participants will learn tips and tricks for creating the perfect tie dye design, such as folding and tying techniques, blending colors, and applying the dyes.
Each piece of adire tells a story; I will share some of these meanings using examples from my own collection, before showing you how to create your own design using resist dye techniques. As well as learning the practical techniques, you will have the opportunity to learn more about Nigerian textile heritage discussing ideas around cultural narratives woven within cloth.
At the end of the workshop, each participant will have their own one-of-a-kind t-shirt, scarf or other or item of clothing to take home.
Candle decorating Workshop
In this candle art class where you'll learn to paint, design and decorate your own candles.
Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned artist, this 2-hour workshop is designed to help you create stunning candles that will not only enhance your home but also make for unique and personalized gifts for loved ones.
From learning how to prime the candles for painting, to applying intricate designs, we'll cover it all. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a set of beautifully adorned candles that reflect your own personal style and creativity. Whether you choose to keep them for yourself or gift them to someone special, they are sure to be cherished.
